Frank "Red" Bramhall, 91, an officer in the River Forest Police Department for 40 years, died Monday night at Oak Park Hospital.
Born in 1901, Mr. Bramhall joined the department in 1925 and was promoted to sergeant in 1929. He became a lieutenant in 1952 and retired at that rank in 1965.
Survivors include five daughters, Patricia, Jean, Sharon, Mary Lou and Dolores, and two sons, Thomas and Arthur.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Drechsler-Brown Funeral Home, 203 S. Marion in Oak Park. Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. Burial will be at Irving Park Cemetery, 7777 W. Irving Park Rd.
