Alyce Josephine (Jo) Copper Goetz went to be with the Lord on September 4, 2012. Jo was born on March 6, 1919 in Williams Illinois to John and Josephine Copper. In 1941 she graduated as a registered nurse in Springfield IL. Jo served in WWII as a 1st Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps. She was the recipient of many ribbons and medals. After the war, she worked for Chrysler Motors in Detroit MI until she retired and moved to Richardson TX. At that time she met and married her husband Robert Goetz in 1987. Jo was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church. She loved being a part of the church and sang in the choir, helped in various plays, baked goods for others and praised the Lord. Jo's family includes her husband, Robert Goetz of 23 years. Her two daughters, Jinx Wrenn and her husband Roger and Jill Hatcher and her husband Russ, four grandchildren, five great grand-children and one great great grand-child. Services will be held September 7, 2:00PM, at Preston-wood Baptist Church, 6801 W. Park, Plano, Texas. Jo passed away peacefully due to complications from Dementia.
