Paul served as a Private First Class, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania prior to the war.

He also either had family residing at, or was residing at 203 Rustic Street, Rochester, Monroe County, New York prior to the war as he is mentioned in Rochester Newspapers after his death with that address.

He enlisted in the Army on January 17, 1941, prior to the war, in Buffalo, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Filling Station Attendant and also as Single, without dependents.

Paul was "Killed In Action" in France during the war and was awarded a Purple Heart.
