Jack joined the Marine Corp during World War II serving in Saipan, Tinian, and Iwo Jima. Jack was also a member of the 25th Regimental Band.
Jack graduated from Life Bible College in 1958, where his wife, Betty had graduated from four years prior. Jack and Betty Lewis celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in August of 2008.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Lewis; three sons, Donald Lewis, Kenny Lewis, and Stephen Lewis; his three daughters, Laura Pentz, Cindy Catren, and Lynette De Los Reyes; his 12 Grandchildren and five Great-Grandchildren.
A graveside ceremony with military honors will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Eagle Point National Cemetery. There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Azalea Glen Christian Center in Azalea, Oregon.
