Danielle C. Burrill, age 15, died Saturday, March 29, at Liberty Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Liberty County. She was a 10th-grade student at Bradwell Institute and the JV co-captain of the cheerleading squad. She was a member of the youth group at Gum Branch Baptist Church. Danielle was an organ donor.
Surviving are her mother, Wendy Bruce of Hinesville; maternal grandmother, Jeanne Bruce of Hinesville; her father and stepmother, William and Debra Burrill of Albertville, Ala.; two sisters, Samantha Burrill of Troy, Ala., and Allyson Burrill of Hinesville; one half-brother, William Burrill II of Albertville; paternal grandfather, Owen F. Burrill of Avon, Ohio; paternal grandmother, Margaret Aten of North Royalton, Ohio; paternal great-grandmother, Helen Burrill of West Allis, Wisconsin; paternal great-grandmother, Mary Powers of Appleton, Wisconsin; maternal aunt and uncle, Joelle and Gary Garlow of Jonesboro; uncle and aunt, Charles and Sudie Bruce of Coupland, Texas; paternal aunt and uncle, Roberta and Norman Seidel of Guntersville, Ala.; great-aunts, Linda Burrill of New Jersey and Georgette Burkhardt of Maryland; great-uncles; and several cousins.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Gum Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Clint Brogdon officiating. Burial will be in Gum Branch Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lieutenant Gene Long, Engineer John Tupper, Firefighter John Hass, Firefighter Robert Caslen, Firefighter Cory Bates and Firefighter Donald Couch. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Hinesville Fire Department, Hinesville Police Department and the Gum Branch Baptist Church Youth Group.
