This is my Father's memorial.

My dad was tall, 6'4" & handsome. I always thought he resembled George Reeve of TV Superman fame. He had dark brown hair and light blue eyes. He did road construction most of his adult life retiring at age 62. He was a busy man after that, bowling 3 times a week, playing softball twice a week, cleaning his old bosses office twice a week and delivering the extra food he bought to 4 different church food pantries. After the divorce of his 2nd wife, he moved in with his sister, my Aunt Florie, who had Rheumatoid Arthritis in most of her body. He took care of her for over 30 years until her death in 2008. He has a son, my half-brother, Louis Albert Farley. He loved both of us unconditionally and was always a caring, hands-on dad. We both love and miss him very much. He was a good man.

Below is his obituary.

FARLEY - John J., aged 75, of Center Moriches, died at home on Friday, May 15, 2009. He is survived by his loving children, Louis A. Farley and Emily E. Smith as well as two cherished grandchildren, Brian and Daniel.

Dad was buried in jeans and a ballcap - his daily uniform.

Grieve not...nor speak of me with tears...
But laugh and talk of me as though I were beside you. I loved you so...'Twas heaven here with you.
