Born August 13, 1931, in Kershaw, he was a son of the late Henry Belk Cook, Sr. and the late Ruth Davidson Cook.

Mr. Cook served his country faithfully in the United States National Guard for many years. He was a well known businessman and entrepreneur in the Walterboro Community and his devout hard work and dedication proved successful for him and his family.

For many years, he owned and operated the historic Cook Theater along with the Ritz Theater both in Walterboro as well as Cook Interstate Services, which was a gasoline station that was located off Interstate ninety-five near Walterboro.

His love of the outdoors and hunting and fishing of all types lead him into his last business venture which was Cook's Marine located on the Charleston Highway on the outskirts of Walterboro.

Mr. Cook was a member of the Ehrhardt Southern Methodist Church and in former years while a member of Mount Carmel Southern Methodist Church, he served as a church steward and other various capacities in the church.

Surviving are: his wife of fifty-five years, Jane (Beebe) Cook; three sons, Henry Belk Cook, III and wife Amy, Robert D. Cook, and William H. Cook and wife Cathy all of Walterboro; a daughter, Beebe Cook Kennedy and husband Sean of Roswell, GA; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren and a longtime friend of the family, Darlene Ogden of Walterboro.
