Selma Anna Schultz was born on 6 Jun 1920 in Spring, Texas to Wilhem Schultz and Caroline Wilhelmina Krimmel. Selma married Garnett Bentley Barnett at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Willacy Co., TX on 16 Jan 1941.

Together they had 3 children. Patricia Ann, Bill and Selma.

Selma Anna died in Houton TX of cancer on 23 Jul 1997 and buried at Trinity Luheran Church in Spring where she and her husband were members.
