NILES W. BROOK IS CLAIMED BY DEATH
WELL KNOWN YOUNG MAN DIES AT FINLEY HOSPITAL THURSDAY
Niles W. Brook, aged thirty years was claimed by death at Finley hospital, Thursday morning at 9 o'clock after an illness of two weeks with pneumonia. The deceased was born at Makato, Minn. September 18, 1888 and has resided in Dubuque during the past five years, making his home at the Hotel Julien Dubuque.
Mr. Brook held a position as manager of the Lawrence Mines company and was well and favorably known in this city. He was prominent socially, and leaves a large circle of friends to mourn his death. He was a member of the Sommerfield Methodist church of Milwaukee.
The deceased is survived by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Brook of Milwaukee, two brothers Harley Brook of Minneapolis, and Lieutenant J. J. Brook at a base hospital in France, two sisters, Adeline Brook and Mrs. Perry J. Stearns of Milwaukee.
The funeral will be held at Milwaukee, Wis., where the remains will be shipped Thursday night accompanied by his parents. Interment will be made at Milwaukee.
