Hannah and her sisters Mary and Lydia, were Quaker activists who spoke out against the Puritan persecution of Quakers after the hanging death of Mary Dyer.
She was on a religious mission to Virginia with a few others, when their ship capsized and she was drowned. It's unknown whether or not her body was recovered and returned to Oyster Bay for burial. Until further documentation is found she'll be listed as lost at sea.
