Born to George Washington and Martha Jane Wheeler.
Services were November 24,1981 with Rev. Houston Boothe at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle, West Virginia.
He was survived by his wife, Emma Jane Canterberry Wheeler, Bud Wheeler Jr. and wife Nell, James Wheeler and wife Kat, Jack J. Wheeler and wife Jill, Betty Buckner and husband Carl, Juanita Coon and husband William Robert, Corbett Holstein and wife Madaleen. Several grand children and great grand children.
Bud was a coal miner all his life, he worked at a mine at Ward, he last worked for Imperial Smokeless Coal Co. near Quinwood, WV. He love to garden and to hunt, sometimes traveling to another part of West Virginia, to hunt all by himself and sleeping in his car and fixing something to eat and coffee on a Colman stove.
Grandpa and grandma had five children, three sons, Buddy, Jim, and Jack. All three were career Army, serving at least one tour in Viet Nam. Two daughters, Juanita who married William Coon, in 1945, Betty, who married Carl Buckner, a pastor and minister. Both men served in WWII.
