They were the parents of: George Marion Harlan, Thomas White Harlan, Matthew Samuel Harlan, Alice (Harlan) Elston, William T. Harlan, Charles Kugler Harlan, Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Harlan) Wilber, Tiney Frances (Harlan) Fisher, Lewis D. Harlan, Laura Ann (Harlan) Bolen, John Henry Harlan, and Carolyn Jeneva "Carrie" (Harlan) Porter. William and his wife and family came to Chase Co., KS about 1872-3. He was a Methodist carpenter.
