John Check, 75, of 20091 Cone Rd., Milan, died Saturday night in his home.
The rosary will be recited at 7 tonight in the Stevens and Bush Funeral Home, Milan. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Milan. The Rev. Joseph Strzelewicz will officiate and burial will be in Marble Park Cemetery, Milan.
Mr. Check was born July 17, 1894, in Czechoslovakia and married the former Filomena Fojtik Aug. 24, 1915, in Archbold, Ohio. Mrs. Check died June 14, 1960.
He came to Michigan in 1928 and was a farmer and employed by the Ideal Furnace Co., Milan.
Surviving are two sons, Rudolph of Milan and John Jr. of Britton; a daughter, Miss Anna Check at home; a half brother, Martin Trojek of Warren; two grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Two sons, Robert and Henry, preceded him in death. Monroe Evening News, February 9, 1970
