Mr. Coon was an Indiana State Police Trooper and later commander of the Fort Wayne Post for seven years attaining the rank of First Sergeant. After his retirement from police work he was the chief deputy in the Allen County Auditors office. He and his wife June had maintained a winter home in Florida. They were friends of my parents; he and his wife were the best man and maid of honor at my parent`s wedding.
