Lucille was the daughter of Harvey E. and Minerva (Randall) Borton. In February 1927 at the age of five, she moved with her family to Hollandale, Minnesota. She received most of her schooling in Freeborn County, Minnesota graduating from Albert Lea High School in 1940. In March 1942 the family returned to Union, Iowa where she worked as a cook in the restaurants of the town over the next ten years. She also worked at Collegiate Mfg in Ames, making Army raincoats and ponchos for the soldiers of WWII from the spring of 1944 to November 1945. On November 10, 1950 she was united in marriage to Tom Glenn at Union, Iowa. They spent all of their married life in the Union and Bangor area.
   Lucille was an active member of the Calvary Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School/VBS teacher, church treasurer, kitchen chairman, and historian for many years.
   Lucille is survived by her husband, Tom Glenn of Union; daughter Carolyn Glenn of Waterloo and several nieces and nephews.
   Lucille is preceeded in death by her parents; one broher Archie Borton; three sisters, Elnora Borton, Ada Harris and Leona Elliott.
