John Wesley Ethridge Sr., a retired truck driver, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 1990, in Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were Friday, Sept. 14, 1990, at 4 p.m. in McKenzie Funeral Home in Andrews. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery.
Mr. Ethridge was born March 1939 in Georgetown County, a son of John James Ethridge and Gladys C. Ethridge.
He attended Georgetown County schools and was a Navy veteran. He was a Baptist.
Surviving are his parents of Pawleys Island;a wife Faye Randolph Ethridge of Pawleys Island; a son, John W. Ethridge Jr. of Pawleys Island; four daughters, Gladys Steele and Mary A. James, both of Seattle, and Teresa F. Ethridge and Angela G. Ethridge, both of Pawleys Island; two brothers, James Ethridge of Pawleys Island and Roger A. Ethridge of Bells, Texas; a sister, Ruth Bazen of Murfreesboro, N.C.; and five grandchildren.
