Elbert Romeo Hiatt, well-known farmer-stockman of the Elbert region and a life long resident of that community, passed away Tuesday in a Colorado Springs hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am. Friday at the Law drawing room, the Rev. C.L. Moser of the Bethany Baptist church officiating. Interment in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Hiatt was born April 30, 1875, at Golden, CO. He was a member of the Elbert Christian church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Merle Hiatt, 11 children, a sister, Mrs. Lillie M. Barrett of Elbert. 31 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
