His full name was Frisby Freeland Chew, his middle name being his mother's maiden surname.
In addition to the four children showing in links, family records show there was an infant George (1837-1840) and a son William Lock Chew (1841-1864, a Confederate States of America soldier killed in action at Franklin TN).
Son Monroe also soldiered for CSA; see link. Daughter Rebecca Freeland Chew (Lyman) was married to an officer from the U.S. Naval Academy; see link. Son Fielder "Fee," an attorney, was a Fellow" of the Institute of American Geneology and lived with his mother, in Washington, D.C., during her final years. He left a compiled record of his Chew-Biscoe genealogy.
