Funeral of Lt. G. B. Chew, "Flu" Victim, at Meade
The funeral of First Lieut. George B. Chew, of the ixty-third United States infantry, took place yesterday at the residence of his father, George B. Chew, Sr. 1448 Newton street, and was numerously attended by relatives and intimate friends. Several officers of the regiment, stationed at Camp Made, where the death occurred from pneumonia, acted as pallbearers. Many beautiful floral tributes were offered, among the a large wreath from the officers of his regiment. Interment was at Arlington.

Lieut. Chew was appointed to the army shortly after the United States entered the war. His brother, Capt. Beverly Chew, of the Sixteenth United States infantry, is in France, where he was wounded on the Marne July 18.
