First born son of Andrew and Janie (Fairfax) Mitchell. Albert retired from the Acme Super Market after more than 20 years and graduated from the Junior Order of United American Mechanics at age 16. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II with the rank of sergeant. He was a member of the Timber Ridge Pentecostal Church and a life member of Shawnee Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company in Winchester. Albert was 85 years old.
Albert was married to Martha Katherine Breeden (b. 1920) for 53 years. There is no record of any children. His wife survives as of 2001. Winchester Star, 25 May 2001.
Albert has 4 other siblings after him. Ray, Leonard , Gladys and Nellie. Ray died at the age of 88 in 2006 and Leonard died at the age of 13 in 1933. Albert's sisters we have no further information on them.

I would like to thank Carolyn for obtaining all the information on my Uncle Albert. Her help with finding my family on dad's side is invaluable. Nobody, in the Mitchell family, has heard from Albert since he left the orphanage in the 1930's.
