Anna Fastner was most likely born in Solka, Kreis Suczawa, Bukovina (now Romania). Various sources give the year of birth as 1871, 1872 and 1873.
In June 1887, Anna, along with her parents, grandparents and siblings, emigrated from Bukovina to America. Their ship arrived at the port of New York, and from there the family went to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Anna was married to a Schmidt a short time; they had a child Frances born in 1890 in Milwaukee.
On August 19, 1891, Anna married Phillip Geib in Milwaukee. Their first child, William, was born in Milwaukee in 1892.
Between 1892 to 1895, Anna and her family, along with Anna's parents and siblings, moved to Yuma, Yuma County, Colorado. Their second child, Joseph, was born in 1894 in Akron, Washington County, Colorado.
Back in Milwaukee, the third child of Anna and Phillip was born in 1896. The remaining 7 children (of 10) were all born in Milwaukee between 1898 to 1918 (Emma, Mary, John, Leonard, Eleanore, Edward, Arthur and George).
Anna's husband, Phillip, died on May 1, 1931. He was 62 years old and had been born in Machenbach, Bavaria, Germany.
Anna died at a Milwaukee hospital at age 62 on October 9, 1935. She was buried October 11, 1935 at Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum, Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.
