Joseph P. Guest, 56, of 3263 Warwick, died yesterday at the Veterans hospital in Excelsior Springs. He had been ill about nine years. Mr. Guest was born in Ryan, Ok., and had been a resident of Kansas City twenty-nine years. He was a motor car salesman before he became ill. A veteran of Worls War I, Mr. Guest was a member of the Conroy-Nichols post, American Legion. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Myrtle "Tommie" Guest of the home; his mother, Mrs. M.L. Cain, Ryan; five brothers, John Guest and Welden Guest, Ryan; Bryan Guest, Oklahoma City; and Maurice Guest and Cecil Guest, Long Beach, Calif.; and a sister, Mrs. Melvin Howard, Oklahoma City. The funeral was held at the Quirk and Tobin funeral parlors, Linwood and Main, at 2 p.m. April 24th. Interment was as Union Cemetery, in Section 63, Lot 9. There is a tombstone at his grave.
