Johann Heinrich "Henry" Keedy & Barbara Blecker both came to America on the ship Halifax & landed in Philadelphia in 1752. They were married in America. Henry bought a land track called "Prospect" from Robt. Owen on 7 Jan 1767. Henry & Barbara had five children, Jacob H., Daniel, Henry (b. 1776), Elizabeth, and John. On 14 May 1778, the Maryland Treasurer paid Henry for his military service. In the 1810 Federal Census, they were living in the Lower Antietam Hundred.

Between 1 Mar 1778 & 1 Jan 1780 John Henry Geeting/Keedy served in the Maryland Troops during the Revolutionary War; from "Musters of Maryland Troops, Vol. ll.
