Services Held Here Sunday For Rena Castille
Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday (December 27, 1981) in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Renal Castille age 79 the former Rena Knight who died on Saturday December 19, 1981 in the Opelousas General Hospital at 1:55 a.m.
Father Jean-Fidele Paradis officiated at the services. Burial was n the church cemetery.
Mrs. Castille is survived by two sons - Ashton Boudreaux of Cankton and Robert Lee Boudreaux of St. Landry Parish, one daughter Mrs. Jeston "Betty" Savoie of Cankton, 3 step-sons - Russell Boudreaux of Church Point, Austin and Frank Boudreaux both of Port Arthur, Texas, 8 step-daughters - Mrs. Leonce "Elise" Perrodin, Mrs Early "Elvinia" Meche and Mrs. Vorise "Sis" Higginbotham all of Church Point, Mrs. Perry "Delphine" Richard of Lewisburg, Mina Boudreaux of Opelousas, Mrs. Saul "Leona" Perrodin and Mrs. Gean Soil "Bertha" Comeaux both of Lafayette and Mrs. Irvin "Loretta" Savoie of Nedarland, Texas, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son - Alphonse Boudreaux in 1964, She was the daughter of the late John "Jack" Knight and Amanda Richard.
The Pallbearers were Steve Savoie, Fred Savoie, Ashton Boudreaux, Russell Boudreaux and Austin Boudreaux.
Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro was in charge of arrangements.
