Hattie Wilson Eggleston Rilands is the daug. of George B. Wilson and Avis Shoemaker. George died in the Civil War and Avis married James H. Holden.
James & Avis Holden moved to AR and later settled permanently in KS. Hattie stayed in NY and lived with her grandparents George and Harriet (Burkholder) Shumaker/Shoemaker. Hattie is on the 1870 & 1880 censuses with them in Hopewell, Ontario Co., NY.
Hattie married Charles Eggleston, was widowed, then married Charles A. Rilands.
