"Winchester Deming dies in McNairy County last week in the 80th year of his age. Deceased was a resident of Hardeman County for many years, and for a term of six years served this county as Sheriff. Soon after the civil war he moved to McNairy County. He was twice married. Four children survive, three of whom live in Chester county and one in this county, W.T. Deming, of the 10th district."
