ROBERT THOMAS "Tom" BARNES of Oakland, FL. He was the son of Raymond and Florence Barnes. He was a WWII, U.S. Army veteran and, immediately after, organized a dance band, called Bob Barnes & His Orchestra. He graduated from Worsham College with a degree in Mortuary Science and owned Barnes Funeral Home and Barnes Furniture Store. Tom was a member of the VFW, Lions Club, & Elks Club. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Frances; son, John and brother, Edward. Surviving are children, Nancy Nordquist (Bruce) and son, Tim (Toni); grandchildren, Brad Nordquist and Amy Croeze and four great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Vincent Nordquist and Alexander and Ava Croeze.
