Funeral services for Jack William Haskins, 41, a Simpson Logging company lumber grader employed in Mill 2, will be held at 1 p.m. today from the Witsiers Funeral home, the Rev. Robert Shaw officiating. Music will be furnished by Jack Stewart and Mrs. John Steinberg. Burial will be in Shelton Memorial park.

Mr. Haskins, who resided at 402 Elinor St., died Sunday in Seattle. He was born Nov. 16, 1913, in British Columbia.

Surviving are his wife, Merna Haskins, Shelton; three children, Jacqueline, 13, Jeriline, 8, and Jeffrey, 7; his mother, Mrs. Edith Deverseth, Bellingham, and father, William Haskins, Los Angeles, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Helen McClymont, Bellingham, Mrs. Janet Barker, Seattle, and Mrs. Kay LeGallee, San Francisco, and two brothers, Reginald Haskins and Victor Haskins, both Bellingham.

He was a member of the Active club, the all-city Boy Scout committee, Methodist church and Methodist Men's club. He had lived in Shelton since February, 1948. Prior to that, he lived in Seattle and in Bellingham, where he was graduated from high school. He was married in the Shelton Methodist church in 1939.

Active pallbearers at services today will be Hugh McKay, Donn Nelson, Dale Yost, Joe Kneeland, Bud Knutson and John Dailey. Honorary pallbearers are Gib Frisken, Bill Schirmer, John Eliason, John Nordstrom, Arnold Stenger, Francis Wifler and Bill DeVries. Shelton-Mason County Journal, Thursday, July 22, 1954
