Eleanor Gilbert, 61, of Clyde Park, wife of Alfred "Ford" Gilbert, a rancher, died Monday in Livingston Memorial Hospital.
She had been a lifelong resident of Park County. She was born June 1, 1915 on a ranch near Emigrant, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Dailey. She graduated from Park County High School in Livingston.
The Gilberts had lived on the family ranch near Clyde Park since their marriage November 2, 1940, in Livingston.
She was a member of the St. Andrews Episcopal Church. Her grandfather, the Rev. John F. Pritchard, was founder of St. Andrews Church and the Mammoth Chapel in Yellowstone National Park.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Andrews Church, the Rev. C. Jack Faas will officiate. Cremation took place in Billings.
Survivors include the widower; three sons, Alfred "Sam" Gilbert of Whitefish, Edmund Gilbert of Clyde Park, and David Gilbert of Billings; a brother, Edmund Dailey of Seattle, Wash. and four grandchildren.
Lowry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
