Employed by Crown-Willamette Logging company at Camp No. 5, Youngs River falls. Killed instantly, and died from internal injuries. Survived by his widow.

Floyd Welker Bross, age 34, born 3 Oct. 1883. He was living in Kerry, Columbia County, Oregon. His occupation was log foreman and he worked for a lumber company. Floyd was described as medium height and weight, with blue eyes and light color hair. His family contact was listed as Nellie C. Bross.
The 1930 US Census showed Floyd W. Bross and Nellie C. Bross living in Butte Falls, Jackson County, Oregon. Floyd was age 46, born in Illinois, married when he was 23, and Nellie was 41, born in Oregon, married when she was 17. [That would make the year of their marriage about 1906.]
