Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Clark, former residents of Pleasant Hill township, and now of Nebraska, are here visiting their daughter, Mrs. James Warwick.
Mr. Clark served the country during the civil was as a member of Company D, Seventh Minnesota, and in his company as companions in arms were such well known Winona county men as Capt. Norman Buck, Capt. Rollo Banks, James and John Berry, Asbery Clark, Elias Brickert, G. M. Corey, Hilkiah Lilley, Daniel Stedman, Levi Whitlock, George Ellsbury, many of whom have now moved to other parts, or have passed the river of death.
Mr. Clark is suffering from an injury received while in the army, for which he receives a pension from a grateful country. Neighborhood News, Money Creek, The Winona Republican, Feb. 15, 1897
Civil War: Served in Co. D of the Minnesota Infantry. Received a pension which was continued for his wife Helen after his death in 1917.
