He was wounded during the War. He enlisted in Company B, Massachusetts 61st Infantry Regiment on September 2, 1864 and mustered out on June 4, 1865.
He was the son of Mora and Anise Lee Aldrich, and a brother of Wells Aldrich. According to his death certificate, he died at Noble Hospital in Westfield, Massachusetts of Pneumonia. Inscription: Co B 61 Mass Inf
