'Big Daddy' AUGUSTA, Ga. - Ozie Willis Brantley, 77, husband of Elsie Anne Brantley of Sibley Road entered into rest Thursday, August 13, 2009 at the Charlie Norwood Veterans Administration Medical Center. Funeral services were held Monday, August 17, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. from Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. Wayne Hunsucker and Reverend Oscar Barrow officiating. Interment followed in Hillcrest memorial Park. Mr. Brantley was born in Sandersville, Ga. To the late Ozie Willis and Sara Corinne Lockhart Brantley. He was a transmission repairman and a member of the Waynesboro Masonic Lodge and Calvary Baptist Church where he served as deacon. Mr. Brantley served with the US Navy during the Korean conflict. He coached softball for the Calvary mens and ladies teams, the Peewee and Masters City leagues. The family would like to thank the Doctors and nurses on section 5-D of the downtown division of the Charlie Norwood Veterans Administration Medical Center for there special care. Additional survivors include his daughter and son in law, Ginger and Jerry Yount of Belvedere, SC, his sons and daughters in law, Lee and Terrika Brantley of Evans, Mell and Robyn Brantley of Hephzibah, his grandchildren, Terry Brantley and his wife Meta, Christopher Yount, Jared Brantley, Ashlee Roquemore and her husband Trace, Travis Brantley, Hunter Willis Brantley, Davis Brantley, Alesia Nicoli and her husband Jeff, great- grandchildren, Jordon Nicoli, Tyler Nicoli, Haleigh Yount, Natalie Yount, Maggie Roquemore, Conner Roquemore, Genevieve Herrington and Abigail Herrington. Active Pallbearers will be Tony Johnson, Jim Brown, Oliver Vincent, Woody Woodard, Jural Mansel and Paul Faglier. Honorary Pallbearers were the members of the Trinity Bible Class.
