Eva was born in Bavaria, Germany. She was daughter of John Klieber. Her mother was listed as Margaret in the ship record in 1845. Eva's death certificate lists her mother's name as Agnes Klieber. Eva married Constantin Binder in Cincinnati, Ohio on Feb. 16, 1847 at St Joseph Catholic Church. She and Constantin raised 8 children. In the 1900 census, 7 of the 8 children were still living. She was my great great grandmother. Her maiden name was spelled several different ways in different record: Klubber, Klüber, Klieber. At times her married name was listed as Bender.

One of the oldest women of the city, yesterday, Mrs Eva Bender nee Klieber, left this life. She was widow of Constantine Bender and she had reached the age of 91 years. The funeral of the old lady will be Saturday morning at her home, Oak Avenue in Price Hill. Funeral mass will be at St Lawrence Church.
She was a native of Bayern. She lived there 18 years as a young girl. She lived 45 years in Price Hill.
She is survived by 3 sons & 3 daughters. Daughters are Mrs. Frances Kareth, Mrs Barbara Wittekind, Mrs Frank Borgerding. Sons are Stephen, Charles and Joseph. Also survived by many grandchildren & great grandchildren
