Son of John and Susannah (Mock) Taylor of Muskingum County, Ohio. Brother of George, Griffith and Amy (Taylor) Spicer. Husband of Violinder (Geyer) Taylor (3 children - Maranda, Susan and John) and Maria (Jennings) Taylor Weaver Slover.
Contributor #49239154 has suggested the military notation. I found The Illinois Databases of Illinois Veterans 1775-1995 on Ancestry.com which shows a "Henson D. Taylor" annotated as "Harrison" by a contributor, as a participant in the 53rd Illinois Infantry in the Civil War from Olney, Illinois. Also found that Harrison Taylor, b. abt 1824, VA, is listed in the Civil War Draft Registration Records living in Wayne Co., Illinois. He was listed in Wayne County in both the 1860 and 1870 census records in Wayne Co. There are a couple of "Henry Taylor" living there as well, but none showing a "D" middle initial.
