Martha Lee Reyes of Miami died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami. She was 75.
Mrs. Reyes was born Oct. 7, 1933, in Wellington, Kan., to John James and Goldie Valentine (Larmer) McKinley. She moved to Miami in 1965. She graduated from NEO A&M College.
She was a nurse's aide by trade.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the American Legion.
She married John Reyes on Aug. 19, 1949, in Wellington. He preceded her in death on Aug. 15, 1986.
She was also preceded in death by two infant children, her parents, four brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include a son, John R. Reyes of Carl Junction, Mo.; two daughters, Mary D. Elbert of Joplin, Mo., and Louise E. Hall of Springfield, Mo.; one brother, Billie J. McKinley of Winfield, Kan., six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miami. The Rev. Carl Kerkemeyer will officiate. Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami.
Pallbearers will be Robert Elbert, Kenny Reyes, Tobby Hall, Scott Elbert, Kevin Owens and Raymond Reyes Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Adrienne Haines, Julie Owens and Oliver Elbert.
The family will receive friends followed by rosary beginning at 7 p.m. today at Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home in Miami.
