Stephen Potter De Mallie was a Great American, Lowellian, Christian, Republican, great caring, loving, giving, honest, wonderful gentleman.He served with honor in two Wars. World War II, Korean Actions, and active USNR as a well respected US Naval Officer. He was one of the first ever on Television. His son Jonathan the first on Stereo TV.
He was the worlds very best in his fields of Research / Textiles.
A Judge. An Arbitration Judge.
A son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, Uncle, Great Uncle, Great Great Uncle, friend, and Worldwide Christian leader.
He was schooled at Lowell Public High School, Lowell Textile Institute (University MASSACHUSETTS/Lowell- UML).
Scholarships we have set up here also, Tufts, Harvard, Kimball Union to be a Navy fighter pilot,(USNTC Bainbridge) Port Deposit, Cecil County, Md. for US Naval Officers, and Williams College.

Stephen Potter De Mallie and his wife, Mrs. Mary Lib Harvey De Mallie both were invited to teach in Communist CHINA by both Countries (US and CHINA) Presidents not once..but Three Times. Because of the T.Square problem they chose not to that last fourth time.
He met, his only wife in the exact middle in Delaware ( The First State )exactly between Ma. and Va. (both American Commonwealths) then fell in love, married Miss Mary Elizabeth Bowles Harvey, Honors Graduate of Longwood College, as A respected Nylon Researc Lab Chemist at the Second Baptist Church at Broom and Harrison Streets, officiated by the Reverend R.E.E. Harkness from McGill in Montreal, Vanada as the Reverend Baker was on vacation, nearby was the the E. I. du Pont de Muemours Country Club and University Club on Broom Street (DD: NYSE) , with full US Naval Military Honors and a wonderful standing room only, full house ceremony, in Delaware where they both worked at DD :NYSE and he was called again to report/serve his country as an Officer in the US Navy the day after they married.
They had two planned children, both sons after the marriage, Stephen Mitchell and Jonathan Robert the eldest born in the Brooklyn Borough, NYC, NY and the youngest in Orange at Orange Memorial, he was the first person ever on stereo and color television.
His tombstone now is of a.d. 06/14/2012 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Roseland, Nelson County, Virginia 22967-9999 where a special memorial service was held after one at the Watchung Presbyterian Church on Watchung Avenue as well in Bloomfield, Essex County, New Jersey 07003-9999 where he was an respected member and Church Elder.
1947 Stephen Potter De Mallie was chosen for the Navy Goodwill Cruise to England, Scotland, France, Denmark, and Sweden. His ship, USS RANDOLPH, CV/Cva/ Cvs -15 had Three Battle Stars. Dad's ship, on the Goodwill Tour moored in Greenock, Scotland, UK when they invited the then 10th Duke of Argyll Niall Diarmid Campbell (16 February 1872 – 20 August 1949) aboard ship for lunch for which the Duke accepted. The Duke thusly invited my Dad and the other officers to his residence, Inveraray Castle, Argyll and they did well in having a wonderful time. Low and behold my Father Stephen Potter De Mallie and 10th Duke of Argyll Niall Diarmid Campbell they did not know they were so very close of kin and clan.. He went on special leave to Paris on July Fourth also Bastille Day.

DE MALLIE. Entered into rest, Thursday evening, August 9, 1917, Isaac DE MALLIE, Jr., aged 62 years.
He is survived by his wife, Rose FACKLER DE MALLIE, two sons, Arthur R. and Herbert L., one grandson, his father and two sisters, Mrs. Mary VAN DERHAVE and Mrs. Isaac VAN DER WALLE. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon, August 13th at 2:30 o'clock from his residence, No. 420 Garson avenue. Interment in Mount Hope cemetery. (This Isaac DeMallie was probably the son or grandson of the Isaac DeMallie born about 1825 in Holland, enumerated in the 1880 census, age 55, in Rochester
