Mabel Edith Wylie was born in Hastings, Nebraska on December 16, 1909 to James Franklin and Winnie Wylie. She passed away at her home in Waynoka, Oklahoma, Friday, June 11, 1993, at the age of 83 years.
On November 7, 1927, she was united in marriage to Cecil "Chig" Theodore Kragh at Alva, Oklahoma. They engaged in farming and ranching in the Sherman Community, Major County, Oklahoma, where they made their home until retirement and moving to Waynoka, Oklahoma. Chig preceded her in death May 17, 1968. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Waynoka, Oklahoma.
Edith is surivived by three sons, Lee and his wife Dorothy, of Waynoka, Oklahoma, Karl and his wife, Ramona, of Mutual, Oklahoma and Jimmie and his wife, Gwen, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, one daughter, Sharon and her husband, Bob Criswell, of Belton, Texas, eight grandchildren, Janet and her husband, Tom Trimble, Gary Kragh, Amber and her husband, Chris Dunley, Jeff Kragh and his wife, Jennifer, Crystal Kragh, Karla Kragh, and Amy and Lori Criswell, and 6 great grandchildren, Kyle, Jennifer, Julie and Gregory Trimble and Kendra and Krista Kragh.
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 1993, at the United Methodist Church in Waynoka, Oklahoma. Reverend Jim Hanes officiated. Interment was in the Waynoka Cemetery, under direction of the Marshall Funeral Home.
