Richard Tice b. 28 Sep 1762 in Gloucester, NJ and served in the Revolutionary War in the battles of Trenton, Princeton and Monmouth. He lived in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and Long Island, New York, before moving to Texas sometime after October 1842. He lived in Independence, Washington County, Texas, with his daughter and son-in-law, Adam James Hall. He died 27 Aug 1848 in Independence TX and is buried in Old Independence Cemetery there. His grave is marked by the DAR and the SAR.
