Dr. Richard C. Carpenter, 87 of Ridge St. Bowling Green died Sunday, March 14, 2004 at Wood County Hospital. He was born August 30, 1916 in Melrose, MA. to Garfield and Grace (Thompson) Carpenter. He married Ethel P. Agnew on June 3, 1945 and she preceded him in death on June 4, 1996. Dr. Carpenter was an English professor at Bowling Green State University for 29 years. He is survived by sons; Peter (Carolyn) of Dove Canyon, CA. and Andrew (Ruth) of Euclid, OH. Five grandchildren; Christina of Atlanta, GA. Kevin of Melbourne, FL. Paul, Aaron and Lauren of Euclid. There will be a memorial service held on Sunday, March 28, 2004 at 3:00pm in the Wood County Public Library. Memorial contributions may be given to the library.
