Pfc. Marvin Eugene Frank son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Frank of Sterling who was killed in action at Luxemburg Germany Jan. 1, 1945

Pfc. Frank was a member of Co A 95th Infantry. He enlisted Feb. 22, 1944 at Amboy and trained at Athens PA. He was sent to Germany in July 1944. He was awarded the Bronze Star Dec. 18, 1944 and was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart.

He was born Dec. 18, 1925 at Milledgeville the son of Marie and Chris Frank. Surviving are his parents, and his three brothers who also served in the Army. Clarence of Sterling, Howard of Rock Falls Lyle of Sterling - also one sister, Mrs. (Walter) Lucille Salzer of Mt. Carroll.
