ROY S BOWER--75:
died Sunday [4-23] at St Vincent Health Center-Erie. Born 21 Aug 1902 in Venango PA, he was a son of Seth & Tressa Huckleberry Bower. He was an Erie resident since 1930 & was a mechanic at Roth Motors with 27yrs service-7 of them as shop foreman. He retired in 1964. He was a charter member & founder of Walnut Creek Rifle Club, member of the National Rifle Assn, EastErie Turners & the 313th Machine Gun Battalion.
He is survived by wife Ethel Bossard Bower; 2 sis: Nellie (sp-Bernard) Colvin-Edinboro & Mrs Lena Flick-Cambridge Springs. Several nieces--nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by a sister Hazel Hult & a broher Clair Bower.
Service will be held on Wednesday [4-26] at Russell Schmidt & Son Funeral Home with Rev Russell Babcock-Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Erie Cnty Memorial Gardens.
