Anne M. LaScala, 85, of Lower Nazareth Township, formerly of Maplewood, N.J. died Saturday, August 16, 2008, at Praxis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Easton. Born August 31, 1922, in Maplewood, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Felice and Catherine (Cutinelli) Ricci and wife of the late Peter F. LaScala Sr. who passed away in 1983. Anne was a homemaker and a self employed beautician in Maplewood, N.J. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 115 Washington St., Bath and was also a member of the St. Judes Guild and St. Josephs Holy Rosary Society in Maplewood, N.J. She was a former Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts Leader and a member of the Essex County Twins Club. Anne was a former crossing guard in Maplewood, N.J., and was an avid sewer, knitter and home decorator. Survivors: Daughters, Linda, wife of Michael Turner of Sparta, N.J., Lisa Briskie LaScala of Laguna Hills, Calif., Lois, wife of Robert Gould of Lower Nazareth Township, Carol wife of Keith Howard of Palm Harbor, Fla., Cathy wife of Thomas A. Fabrizio of Sparta, N.J.; son, Peter F. LaScala Jr. and wife Colleen of Paradise Valley; sister, Marie Bonnetti of Winfield Park, N.J.; ten grandchildren, Loren, Michael, Erin, Matthew, Jessica, Jacquelynne, Kathryn, Andrew, Allison, and Thomas. She was predeceased by ten brothers, and sisters. Services: Arrangements are being handled by Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home Inc. 211 East Center St., Nazareth where the family will receive friends from 3-4:30 p.m., and 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday August 19. Funeral service will be at Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home Inc. at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 115 Washington St., Bath. Interment at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, N.J. Contributions: May be made to the Praxis Alzheimers Facility in c/o the funeral home.
