CRASH VICTIM
Funeral services for Second Lieutenant Jefferson Lee Boling of Elma, killed in a bomber crash in Kansas on October 31, are being held in abeyance pending receipt of word from his brother Ralph, who is in the Aleutians. Efforts are being made to contact him and have him given a furlough so he may attend the services. The body is at the Whiteside chapel here, and was accompanied to Elma by Lieutenant Roy Anderson, a member of Lieutenant Boling's bomb squadron at Salina, Kansas.
Lieutenant Boling, a 1936 graduate of Elma High School, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Manny I. Boling of Elma. His wife is here at the home of her uncle, State Patrolman C.L. Westenhiser.--The Chronicle, Elma, Washington, November 4, 1943
