Mrs. Orda Iola Lawrence
ALGER, Oct. 15 - Mrs. Orda Iola Lawrence, 71, died at her home here at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday of a cerebral hemorrhage following an illness of four years.
She was born in Logan-co, the daughter of John and Jane Linn and moved to Hardin-co in 1889 where she has resided since. She was married Oct. 24, 1891 to E. M. Lawrence, who survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Streets, Mrs. Tressie Calvert, Mrs. Geneva Hopkins, all of Alger, and Mrs. Leona Stocker, Waynesfield; six sons, Earl and Deln of Alger, Garret of near Lafayette; Roy of Toledo, Ralph of McGuffey, and Howard, Waynesfield.
Other survivors include four brothers, William and Bird Linn, Alger; Tyra Linn, Kenton; and Otto, Homer, Mich., and two sisters, Mrs. Irene Hawk, Cincinnati, and Lettie, Alger.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Alger Methodist church, of which she was a member, with Rev. A. E. Oliver of New Hampshire officiating. Burial will be in Preston cemetery, Alger.
