Jud Lawrence

ALGER - Jud Lawrence, 97, died 1:50 p.m. Monday in Lima Memorial Hospital, where he had been hospitalized 10 days.

Born March 20, 1871, in West Newton, he was the son of William and Harriett Hover Lawrence. He was married to Orda Linn, who died in 1946.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Streets and Mrs. Zora (Tressie) Calvert, both of Alger, Mrs. Charles (Geneva) Hopkins of Tekonsha, Mich., and Mrs. Robert (Leona) Stocker of Waynesfield; three sons, Ray of Toledo, Dell of Russells Point, and Howard of Alger; 38 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Hanson Funeral Home, Rev. James Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight.
