John C. Heffner, 85, Colebrookdale Township, died Feb. 6 in the Pottstown Medical Center.
He was the husband of Dorothy M. (Kister) Heffner.
Born in Richmond Township, he was a son of the late Supheres B. and Agnes (Heffner) Heffner.
Heffner was employed for 30 years as a chemical engineer by Cabot Supermetals, Gilbertsville, retiring in 1985.
He was a 1938 graduate of Kutztown High School and a 1942 graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering.
Heffner was an Army veteran of World War II.
He is also survived by two sons, Rick, Shillington, and Craig J., Monson, Mass.
Other survivors include two grandchildren.
Services were private in the Morrell Funeral Home Inc., Boyertown. Burial was in Hope Cemetery, Dryville.
