1st Sgt. Michael Bordelon of Morgan City, La., a 1986 graduate of Patterson High School, Morgan City Louisiana. In high school, friends called Michael "Rocky" because he looked like Sylvester Stallone. He had the brute strength to match, and he was an all district football player. He also attended college at McNeese State University. He was always helping out, whether it was fixing a car or helping put together newly bought lawn furniture. A native of Bayou Vista and a longtime resident of Bayou Vista, Michael served in the National Guard for two years and in the U.S. Army for 15 years. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, his parents, two sons, daughter, sister. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. He was 37.
