This is from Kemp's memorial page. It was written by someone at the shelter, who was there to give love to the small dog when he was euthanized.

This is what this person wrote about Kemp.

I named him Kemp because he really loved playing ball. He was extremely scared and did not trust me at first. That is until I showed him the ball I was holding in my hand….BAMB I had a new best friend! I would throw the ball straight up in the air and before it could hit the ground he would catch it right out of the air! After throwing the ball for 15 minuts straight it was time to say goodbye. We walked to the room where he was going to be euthanized. He instantly was afraid. I picked him up….help him tightly in my arms… repeatedly whispering in his ear not to be afraid… that I would be with him the whole time. He buried his face in between my arm and chest. After he received his shot to be euthanized by the staff I held him as close as I could to my face. I told him he was going to a place where he would play ball all day and all night…. I told him I loved him with every piece of my heart. He took his last breath.
