Married Beryl Fay Barnard May 8, 1938 in Corona, Riverside County, California. One child, a son, Loren Paul Evans, was born July 18, 1947 in San Bernardino, San Bernardino County, California.

Obituary: Services for Francis Lowell Evans, 83, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Norconian Drive. He died May 31 at Cypress Gardens Convalescent Hospital in Riverside. The cause of death is undetermined pending a doctor's report.

Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Mortuary in Riverside and from 10 a.m. until services begin Tuesday at the church.

Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Park.

Mr. Evans, who was born in Vernal, Utah, lived in Norco 41 years. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Norco First Ward Chapel and served as both bishop and patriarch.

He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II.

Mr. Evans is survived by his wife of 62 years, Beryl; a son, Loren of Salt Lake City; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Della Sinsabaugh of Port Townsend, Wash., and Lois Thompson of Hesperia.
